The story behind the work.
I was born in Kenya, raised in East Africa and England, and built my professional career in the United Kingdom and the United States. Over more than two decades I worked across London, Geneva, Munich, Barcelona, Sydney, Amsterdam and cities throughout the United States before making Baltimore my home. That range, across industries and institutions and cultures, shaped how I see systems and the people working inside them.
I came to AI from inside the machine, after years designing, building, and keeping large systems running under pressure. I know what that work takes, and what it costs. When the right tools arrived, all of that experience became the thing that let me build at the speed I had always wanted to move.
At KPMG and Accenture I led enterprise technology for Fortune 500 companies, then served as chief information officer at a nonprofit. I have built these systems from the inside, and I know what it takes to make them work for a team that does not have twenty people to run them.
